One of the things that attracts me to frogs (I know, I’m weird) is the beautiful color of the tropical species. I admire them on TV, zoos and so forth, but don’t keep them as pets. Except, of course, my huge collection of unique frog jewelry items, which almost seem alive to me. I have silver pendants, charms, brooches, you name it. All of them are special to me, and I try to purchase them from all over the world.

One of my newest is a design I got from an artist’s collection of reptile gift items. This site had more frog items than others in this category. I hope the artist realizes that frogs are actually not reptiles, but amphibians! (I bet she does) She had a lot less bearded dragon earrings, pendants and so forth than she did frog varieties, and all of them are quite realistic. Sunglass racks drive me crazy. While they offer a lot of variety in a small compact space and usually have a mirror to check out ones reflection. Sunglass racks still drive me crazy. First of all if you once stop at a sunglass rack, you will immediately notice that it is in everyone’s way. Ideally I like to take my time and try on every size and style to see which is most attractive and which is most comfortable. Within moments of having my attention focused on this very important activity, I am aware that someone wants me to move so they can pass by. Of course I then try to hurry up and not spend so much time.

In my rush to put one pair of sunglasses back and move on to the next, somehow the other sunglasses get bumped and fall out of their place on the rack or the ones I am trying to put back get stuck and now I must put down everything else I am holding just to use two hands to return them to their place on the rack. Secondly, I find the mirror to be too tiny. After I buy the discount sunglasses and see the reflection in a bigger mirror, I wish that I would have seen earlier the affect they have on my face.

The weather around here has turned gray and brisk and for some reason that makes me want to eat more than usual! I crave warm foods like hot soup and hot chocolate. Of course the best part of this time of year is all of the goodies you can cook and bake. I love baking with cinnamon because it makes the whole house smell wonderful. You can come in from working in the yard or biking in the neighborhood and just soak in the aroma. And enjoy the treats too! I recently made a yummy batch of peach cobbler that turned out better than I expected. I think it helped that I had finally purchased some good quality nonstick baking pans so the food cooked very quickly and evenly.

If you like to cook and bake than it’s really worth investing in quality bakeware because it makes a big difference in the kind of results you’ll get. If you’ve ever baked in flimsy bakeware then you know that most of your food will cook unevenly and even worse, stick to the pan. Like when you try to bake a birthday layer cake and it comes out of the pan in piece, leaving you to try to glue it together with icing and trying to hide the chunks that are out of place.
