Finally it’s warming up, or so I tell myself. To really get in the mood, I went shopping online and found this pretty enamel green butterfly pin. Strictly speaking it’s not actually enamel, but painted with a brilliant epoxy color that actually has a little sparkle in it. However they made it, it’s darned gorgeous and I’m going to treat myself to it! I have the perfect spring jacket to pin it to.
Attractive butterfly jewelry has been common for a long time. I sometimes see vintage pieces when I’m perusing my local antique store. But I like to wear something a little more modern looking, which I consider this one to be. From what I understand it’s painted on a fine pewter base, which is just fine with me. I’m sure that’s why the price is so reasonable.
And if you like blue or purple, they have them in those colors as well. Me, I’m a green girl. Especially this time of year, when the little shoots and flowers are emerging to chase away those dreary winter blues!
